    STAC's vapor compression system innovation lies in its compact state-of-the-art turbo-compressor, able to generate both low-pressure chilled water and ice slurry, depending on key system parameters and the direction of the energy cycle.  

    When there is low cooling demand, the excess capacity is directed into a storage system of ice slurry or fresh water. When cooling demand is at

    it's peak, the ice surplus is drained from its storage.

     STACs vapor compression system can operate continuously (24/7), harnessing untapped thermal energy from water bodies, i.e., the ocean, lakes, rivers, excess industrial heat, solar thermal and geothermal, and district heating (DH) grids.

    STACs Pilot Chiller Plant is designed to showcase our sustainable zero emission technology in multiple applications across various industries and buildings with a need for cooling in the form of chilled water or ice slurry. 

    STACs vapor compression system unlocks significant energy and CO2 reductions compared to ammonia absorption systems and other conventional cooling solutions, having precise applications in space cooling of industrial, commercial, and residential applications.
